What To Expect

Diagnostic Evaluation

After scheduling an appointment, each client receives a diagnostic evaluation during their initial intake assessment. The psychologist will look over your completed paperwork and ask you questions regarding any symptoms you are experiencing. Additional information may be gathered in order to help determine a diagnosis if one is present.

Treatment Planning

After reason for therapy and symptoms severity are established, you and your psychologist will collaborate to develop a treatment plan specific to your needs. Treatment plans include achievable short-term and long-term goals you would like to work towards in therapy.

Counseling Sessions

After completing your initial intake assessment, you will be scheduled with your first therapy session. Therapy sessions are typically scheduled one time per week and take place at a time that fits your busy schedule. Sessions last approximately 50-55 minutes each, which is the ideal amount of time to work towards your treatment goals.

Cognitive Behavioral Counseling provides a safe therapeutic setting to share your thoughts and feelings with your therapist. In this safe space, you and your counselor can begin working on the struggles that brought you into therapy.
