There is a lot of confusion and misinformation regarding the Coronavirus, or COVID-19. Particular concern exists around the virus’ half-life and the rate at which it lives on surfaces. According to a recently study published in the New England Journal of Medicine, COVID-19 lives for 72 hours (3 days) on plastics, which is longer than cardboard and metals. Coronavirus lives on cardboard and stainless steel for only 24 hours while living no more than 4 hours on copper metals.
